Texas Hold’em Poker

Texas Hold’em is the most popular form of poker at the moment. There are three different variations of Texas Hold’em: limit, pot limit and no-limit. All variants have the same structure and hand values, the difference is in the betting.

The game is played with a standard card deck of 52 cards. In casinos there is a dealer who does not participate in the game, at home games the dealer will usually join the game and this is the last player to which the blinds can place a bet. Poker Kits often contain 3 discs, small blind, big blind and the dealer disc. In each betting round the discs automatically move clockwise. At the start of a tournament you can determine by drawing cards who will be on the dealer position, the highest card gets the best seat at the table.

The Blinds
The game begins with the buyin of the Blind, there are usually no antes (each bet which each player requires to place at the table). The height of the blinds are predetermined, in a tournament it may be 10/20, 20 and 10 for the bigblind the small blind.

Parts of the cards
Each player gets two cards of the dealer, the dealer begins by sharing the small blind and goes clockwise until everyone has two cards. Each player makes his cards that will remain secret for the other players at the table until the showdown. The goal of the game is to use two cards in your hand with the five cards which eventually opened in the various betting rounds and thus get the best combination. After the first 2 cards are dealed the betting will begin, it is also called the pre-flop phase.

The first betting round / pre-flop
The first person that starts the betting round is the player left of the bigblind, this player is often called the UTG Under the Gun or listed and is in early position. The UTG has three options, Call, Raise or Fold.

Call: The player places the same bet as the big blind (also called limp).

Raise: To increase a player bigblind least 2 times the value is set. In a limit game, the number of chips you can increase fixed in no-limit may have any number of bets to placing all your chips (all-in).

Fold / Passing: The player puts his cards down and pushes his cards toward the center of the table, also called the muck. These cards not take part in the game.

All players following the same clockwise UTG have three options: call, raise and fold. If a raise is placed, the succeeding player to raise the minimum pay to continue participating in the game. The bigblind is the last player that can raise, any player can again respond to deployment of previous players.

The Flop
After the first betting round, the first three cards on the table are, this is only the top card aside. This action is called “Burning” and is done to ensure that nobody accidentally or deliberately has seen the top card. These three cards which are now open to everyone on the table called the flop.
Second betting round

This betting round and all future betting rounds begin with the first active player known as the small blind. The player has the option of calling or raising. Subsequently clockwise the other players can call, raise, re-raise or fold if there is raised and is not to call. In no-limit is the minimum bet value of the big blind, and there is no limit (no limit). Once all bets have been conducted and more than 1 player in the game, follow the next card, the Turn.
The Turn
After the second betting round, half card play (burning) of the top of the deck, and the next card to be unveiled, this is the fourth card called the Turn said.
Third betting round
The betting here is the same as after the flop, the players still in the game which should be clockwise use. If all bets have been placed here will be the last card is opened, also called the River.

River
After the third betting round and only the top card again after putting aside the fifth and final card will be reversed, also called the River card.

Fourth and final betting round
This is the final betting round, all five cards are now open and all the players are still in the game, the last place bets to try to win the pot. Spelrs could also possibly try to bluff the pot to pick, when bluffing is done as if the best card. The player with the highest ranking wins the pot eventually. What matters is the combination of the 2 private cards and five cards face up on the table.

Side Pots
If at any time a player is all-in (that is, has all his money in the pot) and two or more players remain in the hand, alongside the all-in player, there is a main pot and side pot created . The all-in player which is hoofdpot will win but he can not claim any side pots. He will not be involved in possible future use and will have to wait until the showdown to see whether he has won the main pot. The other players still in the hand to play the hoofdpot + any side pot (s).

A common question is 3 pair, these are not poker, the highest 2 + pairs top card always wins. So you have 33 and your opponent 5 cards are AQ and then you lose so JJ882. The best 5 cards win, you have your opponent JJ88A and JJ883.

Hand Values

If you start with poker, it is useful to know which hand is stronger, so here you can bet on opstemmen. Make no mistakes with hand values and study them well, it is important to win. As such would want beginners sometimes forget that a full house is stronger than a flush and think that the best flush hand and throw the entire chip stack in the middle / all-in. The acid is then when you start up against a full house and you do not even know that a full house beats a flush. The value of poker hands are happy like all forms of poker. Two pair – two pairs of two times the same value

Pair – two cards of same value

High Card – If no player wins one of these combinations has the highest card

If two players both have a pair then the highest pair wins, two aces beat 2 kings, etc. Have two players given the same high card then the highest kicker (second card) who wins. In poker there is no 3 pair, 2 pair up the hand and one high card. So AATT9 beats AATT8.
